Kamara explains goal celebration

Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara has exclusively revealed to setantasports.com the secret behind his “crazy” goal celebration.
The Senegal international joined Fulham in the summer after having been approached by a number of clubs following a fantastic season with West Bromwich Albion in The Championship.
The 26-year-old hit the back of the net 22 times for The Baggies but could not prevent his team from being defeated by Derby County in the Championship Play-off final at Wembley.
The former Portsmouth player has revealed his celebration was a message to Albion directors, who refused to transfer him before changing their mind in the summer following their failure to clinch promotion.
“The chairman really wanted me to stay,” Kamara told setantasports.com.
“But I decided before the play-offs that I really wanted to leave. I wanted to start a new challenge within a new team.
“Even if they would have been promoted (to The Premier League) I would have done everything to leave. I spent two years there, played in the first and second division and really wanted to move on.
“I had problems with the coach and the chairman didn’t want me to leave so when I came back and scored, I did that as a protest gesture to say 'they are crazy not to let me leave and block me here'.
“I continued during all the season. So here is the story of that gesture.
“I will continue to do it because people like it when I do it, my friends tell me to continue. That’s why I keep it but it is just a symbol now, not a rebellious gesture anymore.”
