Middlesbrough striker Ben Hutchinson has signed for Celtic with immediate effect.
The player was meant to join up with the club in the summer after signing a three-and-a-half-year-deal, but he has now made the move immediately.
Hutchinson is the second player to sign for Gordon Strachan on the final day of the transfer window, following the manager's earlier capture of Barry Robson.
Meanwhile, FC Kryliya Sovetov have completed the signing of Celtic midfielder Jiri Jarosik, according to the club’s official website.
Jarosik’s contract has been cancelled by the Parkhead club and he has signed a two-year deal with the Russian outfit.
With Jarosik leaving, the void could very well be filled by Barry Robson who signed earleir in the evening for Gordon Strachan's side and the addition of Robson will keep the integrity and the balance of the midfield intact.
Leonid Slutsky said on the club’s website: “He is a player of the highest level.
“He has played at the highest level at the best clubs in Europe and was one of the leading parts of CSKA Moscow.
“To do that says it all about his level. In a word, he has status as a player.
“I hope, that our expectations and ambitions will coincide.”
