Pardew: Sinclair staying put
by JP Lonergan, 26 March 2008
Charlton Athletic manger Alan Pardew has hit out at reports suggesting that Chelsea have ordered on-loan attacker Scott Sinclair back to Stamford Bridge.
There have been claims that The Blues are unhappy with the lack of first-team action their man has been having at The Valley with the player yet to start a game since his switch across London on February 28.
However, Pardew insists that the 19-year-old will remain with his club for the immediate future, telling The Kent Messenger: "I've been speaking to Chelsea about this because it's difficult for him to come into a side that is not playing an expansive game.
"Chelsea are aware of my thoughts on this matter and I'm confident that Scott will stay."
Sinclair had a loan spell with Queens Park Rangers earlier this season and a more productive one with Plymouth Argyle a year ago.
