Poyet promises Spurs flourish

Tottenham assistant manager Gus Poyet admits that while the club have nothing left to play for this season, they will nonetheless be going all out to impress in their final seven Premier League games.
Spurs have already tasted success this season with their Carling Cup triumph but their league fortunes have been decidedly less glamorous.
Now Poyet has promised the team will finish with a flourish as they round off their season in style, and if the Chelsea thriller last week is anything to go by the Uruguayan’s words are ones to be heeded.
“We have seven games to go and we have to just try and be consistent and to try to win them all, even when we are away from home.,” Poyet told the club’s official website.
“I don’t think we are in a position where we need to be holding out for a result like a 0-0 or something like that.
“I would say 99 percent we are going to go for the games especially where we are in the table.
“There is nothing to lose really. You have to go and try and win games in order to add points to the table and it worked against Portsmouth. Juande was trying to open the game up, it was too close, too difficult, not many chances. We risked it.
“We have to try to win every game now. Like I said before we have no problems in the table - nothing to lose – so just go and try to prove we can win.”
