O'Donovan content with impact
by Gareth Maher, 09 May 2008
Roy O'Donovan thinks that he has made enough of an impact at Sunderland to secure his place in the squad for next season.
The determined forward joined The Black Cats from eircom Premier Division side Cork City, and has done well in his first year at the Stadium Of Light.
Even though manager Roy Keane has started to gut his squad ahead of next season, the former Coventry City man doesn't think that he has anything to feel nervous about.
"I'm very positive for next season," stated O'Donovan, who will join up with Giovanni Trapattoni's 40-man Ireland squad for a training camp this month.
"Obviously I hope I'll still be here but none of us know.
"Hopefully I can increase my impact next season because although the Premier League is tough I don't think there is really anything for me to be scared of.
"I'd like to think I've got better as time went on."
