Nasri: The player everybody is talking about.

Samir Nasri is strongly linked with a move to Arsenal and his agent has declared that the Marseille playmaker has received offers regarding a summer move.

Watch Auxerre v Lyon live on Setanta Sports, on Sunday from 7.45pm.

The talismanic Nasri might play his last ever game for L’OM on Saturday night, against Strasbourg, and the Provence side not qualifying for the Champions League could convince the France international to move on.

His agent Jean-Pierre Bernes has confirmed that Arsene Wenger is interested in one of the most promising players of his generation, and that the attacking midfielder, who could replace Alexander Hleb should the Belarussian leave London, is yet to make a decision about his future.

“As soon as the season is over, we will discuss with Samir, about his future, and we will plan all the solutions,” he told Le Parisien.

“There are offers, that is the truth, but for the moment nothing is decided.”

Nasri’s buy-out clause is set between £12 and £16 million.

A - 17 May 2008 23:09: I think he will become a great player, in the future. Its probably all up to Wenger if we get him. He plays mostly in the centre of mid. I wonder if Wenger wants him to prtner Cesc, this would be quite attacking and we will see how much Wenger trusts Cesc with the defensive part of his game, as a box to box mid, as Nasri is quite attacking. He could be used at first when Cesc is not playingor as an impact player for a couple of seasons maybe on the wings or behind the main striker. The transfer will only happen if Wenger knows where and Where he will play him because 14mil isquite a lot of our 25 mil budget for someone he may or not play that much.; Report this to a moderator

Have to agree with Le Gooneur that we may not sign him because of arsene wengers annoying habit of not signing great players who are interested. We need to strengthen these positions: GK, CB, CM, LW maybe FW. Obviously we cannot buy stars in all of these positions but I think it would be good to start signing some. For me the dream would be: GK Joee Hart/Gomes, CB Richards/Mexes CM Yaya Toure/Veloso LW BEN ARFA (please arsene dont miss out) and FW Villa, although he is not needed. I do not know where Nasri plays specificly but wherever he plays add him to the list. Perhaps only a dream, but Wenger could atleast start making it come true.
