English eyes on Celtic target

Shakhtar Donetsk have warned Celtic that Fulham, Middlesbrough and Everton are all poised to hijack their move for Poland international Mariusz Lewandowski.
The 29-year-old started all three of his country’s games at Euro 2008 and recently revealed he is hoping to tie up a move to join compatriot Artur Boruc in Glasgow.
However, the Ukrainian side have revealed that Lewandowski is also attracting interest from The Premier League following his performances with Poland.
“According to my information, at this time Lewandowski seeks only British clubs: Celtic, Fulham, Middlesbrough and Everton,” sporting director Serhiy Palkin told Sport Express.
“Plus two other English clubs but it is less serious suggestions.
“At this time, on my desk I only have a formal letter from Celtic. We also sent a letter to Celtic in which we asked how the Scottish club would be able to pay for Mariusz.”
